About Station House Bees
Our Story
At Station House Bees, we are passionate about bees and the important role they play in our environment, not to mention the most delicious treat that they make….HONEY! We focus on providing only Raw, Pure honey. This means that the honey our bees make come right from nature and the surrounding wildflowers here in Kentucky with nothing added or heated. Right from the hive to the bottle. This is Honey in its most purest form the way it was intended to be for thousands of years!
Mel,became interested in beekeeping as a hobby to battle the allergies issues he had growing up. He quickly realized that after using wild natural pure raw honey that the allergies seemed to disappear. This led to finding how honey bees have the largest impact on our ecosystem and farming community. NO BEES NO FARMS NO LIFE! Think about the impact that bees have on our food supplies.
Our small farm right here in the commonwealth of Kentucky produces the most nutrient rich and flavorful honey found!

Why Beekeeping?
Our mission at Station House Bees is to manage our Honey Bee Colonies to produce the most pure, raw and delicious honey as intended by nature. Our honey is collected right from our hive colonies to our bottles. No heating, no micro straining or additives.
We often get questions on what the shelf life or expiration of honey has…. In this form there is none! Stories from biblical times and during ancient Egypt found honey varieties in vessels that were aged and found to be over 3,000 years old and still edible! However, our honey is very addictive due to its delicious flavors provided by nature. We have on our farm natural flora, Wild Flowers, Clovers, Tulip Poplar, Cherry Trees, Plum Trees, Golden Rod, Wild Rose, Asters, Blackberry, Raspberry are a few of the forages that our bees love and use the nectar.
